Where are you from?

I'm from sunny Orange County, California! ☀️

Before coming to Lendtable, what were you doing?

I was a software engineer at Robinhood for two and half years building long term investing products. After Robinhood, I took a three month break to learn Japanese full-time through immersion.

What made you choose to come to Lendtable?

I'm really passionate about financial education and building products that help people grow their money. Lendtable already brings great value to customers and I'm very excited that there's still an ocean of ways we can bring more value.

Why is Lendtable's mission important to you?

While building long term investing products for the last few years I've listened in on user-studies and talked to many people about their thought process on saving and investing. It became clear to me that many people don't have enough saved for retirement and don't know where to begin. I think we can improve the lives of many by building great financial products.

What are you passionate about outside of work?

I'm really passionate about language learning and finding ways to make it as fun as possible. Watching TV as your primary studying method actually works! I like PC strategy games like Total War and Anno and simulation games like Rimworld and Banished.

Where do you look for financial tips and advice?

I'm always keeping my ears open for financial advice whether it be from friends or social media. If something sounds interesting I'll make note and educate myself before deciding if I want to incorporate it.

What do you consider your greatest financial accomplishment?

Selling my RH stock at IPO. It was definitely tempting to HODL 🚀🚀🌕, but I stayed true to my values and diversified my holdings.

What’s one piece of advice you’d give your younger self?

I would tell him to be more self reflective and ask himself what he's doing well and what he should work on and improve at.

Strong smelling fragrances. I'm a super-smeller. Some scents are just crazy strong to my nose.

Japanese: I love nigiri, ramen, curry and tonkatsu

Boba milk tea or strawberry milk tea I can also make a mean thai milk tea
